As Apple finally unveiled its long-awaited iPhone 7, along with the iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch 2, there was outcry across the globe as it was revealed there would be something vital missing from the new model: the traditional headphone jack.
Despite new features such as water resistance and a dual lens camera system, the exclusion of the headphone jack in favour of a Lighting connector – as well as AirPods; a set of wireless headphones that can be purchased separately – caused a huge social media backlash.
But those thinking of steering clear of the new model because of this update needn’t boycott Apple just yet because there is a solution, in the form of an adapter which comes with the phone that allows users to attach their existing headphones. Pretty simple hey.
