with your hair. Make sure you get a style that suits your face
shape and hair type. Discuss it with your hairdresser beforehand.
Invest in a straightener if you want sleek straight hair. Invest in

- Get the basics. Basics are needed to begin your new wardrobe.
They're more versatile and can be worn with nearly anything color
and style wise. Buy basic tops like tanks, beaters, camisoles, crew
necks, v necks, and scoop neck tee/tanks. Just using these tops you
could layer them into something totally you. Buy neutral colors
like brown, black, grey, and/or white. After you've developed your
neutrals move forward to color that appeals to you. You could
create very cute color combinations with the options. You don't
have to spend a lot to buy basics; shop at stores which are pretty
much known for selling basic products.
- Move your way up to buy more funky tops you like and would fit
well in your new style. They have many styles, fits, and funky
prints that could help build a successful stylish wardrobe.
- Get your perfect pair of jeans. They're really versatile and
simple and perfect for any season. Try dark wash or raw jeans which
look more sleek and professional, and are easier to dress up. You
want a wide selection in jeans so add boot cuts, skinny's, flares,
relaxed, and low rise. Like they always say there's no such thing
as having too many jeans.
- Choose a skirt that you like. Something that appeals to you
length-wise and style-wise. Knee-length skirts are very feminine
and cute depending on the style. They have plenty of styles of
skirts. They could be pretty and feminine, or sleek and
sophisticated. Mini's are good too if you're comfortable in them.
If you don't look right in a miniskirt, don't buy one. Your style
may seem slutty not cute.
- Buy Oxfords. They're very professional and clean. They've
become very popular, but they're pretty much a fashion staple. Even
if Oxfords don't fit into your style they're a must. A closet
essential. Get them in solid colors like white, or blue. They also
come in patterns like vertical, or horizontal stripes, candy
stripes, various colors, and fits. They may come in handy for more
dressier occasions. Shop for these almost anywhere including stores
Ralph Lauren, Gap, American Eagle, and H&M.
- Get a cardigan. They're much needed for fall to keep warm on
those cool crisp days and nights. Get neutral colors like browns,
and creams. Cardigans comes in a good range of lengths and styles.
Sweaters are good too. They have them in short sleeves, long
sleeves, and lots of different neck lines which are perfect for any
style whether you're punk, or prep. Be sure to check at the Gap,
Old Navy and Urban Outfitters, J. Crew, American Apparel, Ralph
Lauren.
- Try a jacket or blazer. These could be worn over almost
anything considered a top.
- Shop for shoes. A girls favorite accessory. Flats are perfect
for every day. They're very simple and versatile, and come in
plenty of styles and colors. They look best with bare feet, but if
you could pull them off with funky socks, go for it! Start off with
solid colors then work on up to prints. Also buy funky tennis shoes
for gym. They're a must in closets also.
