How to Dress Like a Tomboy
If you're a girl who'd rather keep it simple than dress to impress, follow these steps and end up looking like just one of the guys.
Steps
- Wear shoes. Starting from the bottom, wear tennis shoes or sneakers -- Nike, DC, Kangaroos, Etnies,and Vans are always fine.
- Wear either basketball shorts, cargo shorts, regular shorts that go to your knees/pants, camouflage pants, or blue jeans. Avoid skirts.
- Don't forget a shirt. Up top, put on something loose-fitting and plain. T-shirts are always a safe choice.
- Consider topping it off with a baseball cap.
Tips
- Tomboys aren't just about their clothes, its their personality too! Play video games, sports, stand up for yourself, etc.
- Avoid little girly girl dresses!
- You can get away with wearing leggings and a denim skirt in warmer weather but don't have a very short denim skirt.
Warnings
- Not recommended if you don't want to be remembered as "one of the guys", it won't help with your love life too much
- If your asked to wear a dress to a fancy dinner or party you might have to just that one time because if you went in your torn jeans and Nike-T-shirt people who are wearing the fancy dresses are giving you strange looks. Just pick out a dress that isn't to girly, sexy, any girly colours you don't like or anything that doesn't suit you. Pick the dress that is right for you. This doesn't apply if your going to a mates party, then you can get away with wearing whatever you want.
