If you are looking to make some money while you put your thoughts out there, this will probably help you! I can't guarantee you are going to make it rich, but you should be able to bring in some extra income. Ready? Let's get started.
Step 1: Remember, Make What You Write Memorable!
This is the most important thing I could tell you. Make what you write interesting and memorable. That way you are much more likely to have a repeat reader... Which means the possibility for extra money!
Step 2: Advertise on your Blog
Now that we have covered making you a memorable writer, let's cover the advertising that will make you some money! The more people you have coming to read your interesting blog makes the chance for them clicking an ad and generating you cash even more likely! I like using Google's Adsense to select several ads that work with the theme of my blog. It's also FREE!
Step 3: Be an Affiliate
To be an affiliate, it's pretty easy. On my blog, I mentioned this jewelry company that sold amazing jewelry at cheap prices. People kept asking me what company was it? So I went to their website, and I found they have an affiliate program, which basically means, you put an ad for them on your blog, and mention their services, and if people buy something through clicking your ad, you get money!
Step 4: Back to Writing What you Know!
If you are trying to sell a product, such as a fantastic shirt you've made, or homemade jewelry, or whatever, make sure you write about the process you used to create it. Please don't go into the detail of every step, I'm talking about the thought process. Say you made a necklace in green. Describe how the green reminded you of a park that you went to as a child, and add a funny story.
Step 5: "Tip Jars"
Make sure to add a link so that people can give you money via Paypal if they wish. Call it your tip jar. You'd be surprised how many people will give you money for writing/selling a great product.
There are TONS AND TONS of advertising for pay-per-clicks and affiliate programs. The best affiliate program is Amazon, and the best pay-per-click is Google Adsense. Good luck with everything, and remember, patience is key!
