How To Show Your Parents You Love Them

How to Show Your Parents You Love Them

Little things mean so much to a parent. There are lots of personal and inexpensive ways to show your parents that you love them.

Steps

  1. Can you draw? Make a picture for them, whether with pencil or paints, they're a treasure.
  2. Not too sure how to "say" what you mean? Write a letter... take your time to put your thoughts down.
  3. Keep your room clean!  :) I know it's a chore, but it shows mom and dad that you care.
  4. Cook them a dinner! Even if it's Kraft Dinner and hot dogs, it's something you are doing for them to give them a break.
  5. Pick up after yourself. It shows you appreciate them and the home you all share together.
  6. Tell them that you love them once a week.
  7. If you have a job, you could take them out to the movies or for a pizza one evening.
  8. Probably the biggest way to show them you love them is, never, ever lie. This shows them that you not only love them, but also trust and respect them.
  9. Watch a film with your mum once in a while, or go to a footy match with your dad once in a while just to show them how much you care and want to be close with them.

Tips

  • Hugs say what no words can. Hugs from kids are awesome.
  • Going out for a coffee just to chat is a nice break for everyone. You get to talk about what's going on in all your lives and share in a special time together.
  • Family game night is good for big laughs and precious togetherness time.
