How To Use Leftover Baby Food

How to Use Leftover Baby Food

Your baby has moved rather quickly to table foods and/or more chunky foods. You now find yourself with a cupboard full of baby food jars or a freezer full of homemade pureed food cubes that your baby no longer wants to eat.

Don't toss the baby food away! The ideas below offer great tips on what to do with all the different flavors of baby food you may have around.

 Steps

Leftover Fruit Baby Food

  1. Use baby food for fruit spreads.
  2. Mix the baby food with yogurts or cottage cheese.
  3. Add the baby food to homemade Baby Meatballs or Rice Balls.
  4. Use fruit baby food as dipping sauces for your baby's finger foods.
  5. Add some fruit baby food to a teething biscuit or bread recipe.

Leftover Vegetable Baby Food

  1. Use baby food vegetables for "baby sauce" and pour over pasta and rice dishes.
  2. Mix the veggie baby food into Baby Meatballs and Rice Balls.
  3. Veggie baby food also makes great dipping sauces for baby's finger foods.
  4. Add some vegetable baby food into a teething biscuit or bread recipe.
  5. Veggie baby food is nice to pour over bits of meats.
  6. Mix extra veggiebaby food into homemade baby pancakes or a natural Buckwheat pancake mix.

Warnings

  • Ensure that the foods you feed your baby are age-appropriate
