Forged
from magic rock in the iron belly of a star, thrust naked toward
earth in a meteorite tomb, he is Zanthor, fire mage and
hobo wizard.
Zanthor's mission is to reveal the ancient secrets behind all
magic. He gives birth to miracles, and then drowns them in a sea of
truth.
After he uploaded this
astonishing first video. Zanthor was employed by
VideoJug, on a short term fixed contract, to take his
unique style of magic - called 'super magic' - to the streets of
London. He amazed pedestrians with
trick after
trick after
trick. and then told us how he did it.
It was this refreshing disregard for the magic community's
traditions of secrecy that brought Zanthor into the spotlight and
drew a huge audience for his internet films.
After receiving countless awards, accolades and positive forum
comments David's star rose quickly. In an interview with Time
magazine he was quoted as saying:
"I couldn't believe it, here I was suddenly getting
10,000 hits an hour, I mean seriously, when you're getting that
kind of internet exposure nothing is out of your reach. Money,
women, drink- everything except those things is within your
reach."
It
wasn't long before VideoJug gave Zanthor his own West End show,
'Monsieur de Reve" where he performed illusions which left his
adoring fans spellbound.
But his devotion to the truth compelled him to expose the
grand illusions of the London stage, starting with how
to shoot an arrow through a woman. This
awe-inspiring, death-defying film struck a blow deep into the heart
of the traditions of magic.
The Magic Circle was enraged and Zanthor was run out of town,
and banished from London. He sought refuge in the charming seaside
resort of Southend-on-Sea, eating out of bins, performing tricks
for candy-floss and sleeping under the pier.
But even punishment like this couldn't stop him from pursuing
his quest to smash down the walls of the castle of secrets
and set magic free. Watch the
Southend films if you too would like to set magic
free.
No one can say what the future holds for David Zanthor. But
while he builds that future keep watching VideoJug- because we pay
him £50 a film and that's something we know he will never
turn down.
Good luck Zanthor! Keep uploading films!
