DIY Laundry Bag

Now here’s a unique use for an old pillow case; turn it into a personalised laundry bag. Here’s how to make it:

YOU WILL NEED:
Pillowcase
Fabric remnant
Fusible webbing
Wide ribbon
Narrow ribbon
Thread
Cord
Scissors
Iron
Ruler

STEP 1: PLACE THIN RIBBON
Lay the narrow ribbon 20cm from bottom of pillowcase and pin in place. Then sew the ribbon to pillowcase and remove pins.

STEP 2: PLACE WIDE RIBBON
Lay the wide ribbon around top of pillowcase and pin in place. Stitch along the top edge and then repeat along the bottom edge. Remove the pins.

STEP 3: THREAD CORD
Feed cord through the gap in the wide ribbon all the way around and then tie off the excess cord.

STEP 4: MAKE THE LETTERS
Sketch letters onto fabric remnant and then cut out the letters. Lay out the fusible webbing and place letters on top of the pillowcase where you would like them. Then place greaseproof paper on top and iron over on a low heat. Carefully lift off the greaseproof paper, and it’s ready to use!
