Easy Spinach Pesto Pasta: Cooking For Kids

Fiona Faulkner shows you how to make a quick and tasty spinach pesto pasta. This dish is easy to make, looks great, and is sure to get your kids eating their greens!

Ingredients:
150 g fresh spinach leaves
20 g fresh basil
75 g grated parmesan cheese
1 lime
5 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp sea salt
250 g pre-cooked pasta

Step 1: Blend Your Ingredients
Place the spinach and basil in a food processor, followed by the grated parmesan cheese. Next add five generous tablespoons of olive oil, or rapeseed oil. Season with salt and the juice of half a lime, making sure no pips get in the mixture. Blend the ingredients together until the mixture is well combined and smooth.

Step 2: Serve
Once your ingredients have been blended together give the pesto a taste. Add more salt or lime if needed. Pour the pesto over your cooked pasta and mix through. Serve immediately.
