Chiropractors treat all manners of rib conditions. Most of the ribs in the body are actually attached to the vertebrae, so when the vertebrae are out of place, so are the ribs. Sometimes the ribs can be out of place and the vertebrae aren't, and if that's the case they both need to be correctly adjusted so that breathing takes place normally. There are also incidences where a person has a bruised rib; there are different procedures that the chiropractor can use to dramatically lessen the pain of those and speed the healing, and make the patient more comfortable during their recovery.
