Typically it will take four to six weeks for bridesmaid's dress alterations. If you have a situation where your bridesmaid needs to get her gown altered in a much faster time, perhaps she's flying in from out of state to the alterationist, then it's a good idea to have the alterationist set that time aside so she can do those alterations quickly for you.
