Really, the only side-effect involving Captique injections are the injection itself. For patients that are on blood thinners or Aspirin or anti-coagulants, there can be some bruising and bleeding at the injection site. The actual gel itself, there's really no side-effect. If you are taking a blood thinner, the best thing to do would be to stop taking it about two weeks before having the injection, if in fact it's safe to stop the blood thinner.
