What does "card counting" mean?
Frank Scoblete (Casino Gambling Expert & Bestselling Author) gives expert video advice on: Are gaming rules the same in every casino?; Do table minimums change at various times of day?; How does casino security know what I am doing? and more...
In the game of blackjack, you can play something called "basic strategy", which is the proper way of handling your hands against every dealer up card. A player who plays "basic strategy" will probably face a half percent house edge. However, there are very astute players, who are able to follow which cards are coming out of the deck, and they keep a count; these people are card counters and their technique allows them a slight edge over the house. Now, a lot of people think that card counting is hard, but there is a new method called speed-count, which is the easiest counting method. Any blackjack player could learn this in about 10 minutes. So, if you want to play with an edge, I recommend speed-count.
