That's a myth that we previously thought was the truth. In reality, it's not. There are heavy metals that can cause cognitive problems. So, poisoning with mercury or lead or otherwise, could create great problems. But there are key leading agents that doctors can use to get rid of those heavy metal toxins. However, aluminum is not the reason by which people end up with Alzheimer's disease. That is a myth.
