Yes. They are a lot of fun and anything that is a lot of fun is at least habit forming if not addicting. So yes, texting is great. But if that is all you do, you are not going to do much of anything else. So, I am not saying do not do it. What I am saying is be very careful. be aware of how it can steal your attention, steal your time, steal your mental energy. So you do not get done what you really want to get done.
