It's cheaper to cook in bulk, if you have the money to buy the bulk food and the freezer space, especially if you can do pick-your-own in the summer. I make a lot of elderflower cordial, champagne and marmalade in bulk, as they don't need electricity to preserve them. Buying freezer containers can be expensive, so I try to freeze bulk food in dishes that I can use again.
