What are "chiropractic physical medicine modalities"?
Jeffrey Spencer (Sports Chiropractor) gives expert video advice on: What are the basic treatment methods used by chiropractors?; Why does a joint adjustment make a noise?; How can having a chiropractor stretch my muscles help me? and more...
Chiropractic modalities refer to modalities that use either frequencies, wavelengths, microcurrents, heat, cold, vibrations, to induce physical responses in the body. For example, you can use the cold laser to control pain and inflammation and accelerate tissue repair. You can use vibration to mobilize a joint that isn't quite ready to have a manual adjustment in a classical sense. You can use heat to accelerate blood flow, to bring nutrients to heal and take waste products away from an injury during the early phase of its repair.
