There are many subspecialties in radiology that encompass the field of radiology. They are generally those of diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine. The diagnostic radiology arena can be subdivided further in subspecialty areas of interest which include nueroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, ultrasound, mammography, and women's imaging as well as some additional areas that are even more subspecialized than that.
