Whiplash is a condition that is most frequently seen after motor vehicle accidents. Whiplash occurs when there is an acceleration and a very abrupt deceleration where the head moves forward and then it moves backwards. In the course of doing those two very aggressive, abrupt movements what it ends up doing is straining muscles and injuring ligaments that leads to pain and inflammation.
