I think a great top to pair with a slim pant is a really tight fitted turtleneck, like a cashmere thin, cashmere tight turtleneck, and/or an Oxford shirt that's silk that's tucked into it or maybe tied in a knot at the waist. It really is a very chic look, so you can play up the slim pant by pairing it with a top that's not your average top.
