A hyacinth is a bulb flower that's grown primarily in spring, but their season is expanding because of places they can grow now. I think hyacinths are almost always available. The little short flowers are 7 to 10 inches tall, and there are tons a flowerlets. Hyacinths are very cool, very fragrant, and if you buy them young, which is good idea, the flowers will last for two weeks.
