Why would I want Linux on my iPod?
TJ McClearin (Business Manager, Infinity Wireless, LLC) gives expert video advice on: Can I plug my PmP and MP3 player into my car stereo? and more...
If you were a PC user to begin with and you started using a Mac, and you have all this music that you purchased using Windows Media Player, you can't use it on your iPod because it's all Windows Media protected content. Linux on your iPod, however, gives you more codecs to decode different types of media files, like regular MP3s, AACs, Windows Media Audio, all types of different codecs and file types that would play on your iPod only with the Linux operating system installed.
