A pomade is generally used on hair to give it a little bit more control. It's used on a drier, maybe coarser texture of hair, to make it look a little bit more shiny, to give it a little bit more manageability. It's very important to use a pomade in small amounts, and then you can always reapply it. A pomade is generally quite thick in texture. Therefore, once you get it on the hair, you can't really get it off. So be very careful when using a pomade.
