The first thing would be to go to the public library and look at some books on heraldry. Most good libraries would have a small collection of books on heraldry. There's plenty of information to be had on the internet. Then come to the College of Arms. We are open to the public five days a week. For inquiries, you can just come in without making an appointment and somebody will see them. Or send us an e-mail, write us a letter, or telephone us and we'll do our best to inform you about heraldry and answer your inquiry.
