Shelbi Wilson (Teacher, Lincoln High School, Riverside, CA) gives expert video advice on: What's the secret to keeping up with high school science concepts?; Why is it important to take science classes in high school? and more...
It is important that you try science because there may be an aspect in science that you can use later on in you career. For example, maybe you don't like science, but you may be very interested in the science of drug reactions, or you might be interested in psychology, or you may want to study psychobiology and you may want to learn the psychology and science behind drug interactions on the brain. If you've never exposed yourself to that level of science you would never know that that level of science existed. So what's good about science is understanding is that there's some type of science in every aspect and every field that you'll go into. So expose yourself to science, even to chemistry, biology, and physics. There are ways that you can learn science, so that you can use that prior knowledge of science. Just by taking science classes you're creating a science base for yourself that when you hear scientific terminology used somewhere else you at least have that prior knowledge of science.
