When coloring gray hair you have a few options. You can actually cover the gray and completely mask it. Or you can blend it, and then the gray can take on a highlighted appearance. So there's different results that you would get. I always describe it like lipstick and lipgloss. You have the option to use a lipstick to get full coverage or a lipgloss which is a little bit more sheer, and a little bit more color comes through. You'll notice in a lot of women as they get older go blonder, because the blonde and the gray blend better and that makes it easier maintenance for them.
