It might be about your particular housing council, in which case it's good to have coherent evidence. MPs quite often have people come in and throw bin liners full of correspondence on their table, and that doesn't really help. Being concise, having summarized the problem really allows MPs to quickly make a decision, because remember they have hundreds of others wanting their help, to assess your problem and see if they can help. If it's about an issue like climate change, it's really good to make the MP aware by a lot of people contacting them and generate that interest. If a lot of MP's constituents contact them on an issue, then they're much more likely to choose that issue then any other.
