If you really want to impress someone that you're blown away by and you want to speak your heart, I think it's important to tell the florist exactly how you feel about that person. This can be really candid and embarrassing, but when someone really involves me with a little story, I will go the nines for them with flowers. Also, when I'm talking about what they're looking for, I want to know about the person they're giving the flowers to. I want to know if they like Mimi or Prada, if they like highland or lowland, if they're fancy or just want something relaxed. It's important to understand the recipient. You just want to have a dialog - that's really the most important thing.
