Shaving should not hurt. Does it hurt? Yes. Can it hurt? Yes. But when it hurts, it's because you're doing something wrong. If you're shaving the right way, following the principles of having protection over your skin, of shaving with the grain or sideways to the hair and not against it, it shouldn't hurt.
