How do you know what next season's fashion is going to be?
We know what next season's fashions are going to be largely from the fashion shows who work a season ahead. For instance, if it was spring-summer now, the fashion shows for London, Paris, and Milan have already shown for autumn-winter. So, we've already got a very, very strong indication of what's going be happening for the next season coming. Editorially, although they work closer to the time (so again, if it was spring-summer now, we'd be having to wait a few months to see the new trends for autumn-winter), they will still come out earlier than say, September. Also, we rely on web sites; for example vogue.com is brilliant. They have a whole selection of all the designers globally who show at London, Paris, and Milan; for ready-to-wear, and also for couture as well. So, the research can all be done. It's all there available on tap for you. However, the shows, more than anything, are a strong indicator of exactly what is going to filter down to the high street.
