We have had a very strange situation during the speeches at one of the weddings we managed. The groom was giving his speech and his mother had passed away, to whom he had been very close, and he was quite an emotional groom anyway because he was so happy to be marrying this woman he loved so much, and he was giving the speech and he happened to mention his mother, which was right and proper, but the moment he mentioned her, the lights in the room flickered and then went back to normal and we all, sort of, stopped and looked. Then, he carried on his speech and the next time he mentioned her, the lights flickered again, at which point Kelley and I had to leave the room because we were about to burst into tears because he was already crying, and it was really very emotional, very moving, and very odd.
