The worst thing that's happened during a wedding actually took place just before one. Last year one of our grooms was hospitalized with a life-threatening condition a couple of days before the wedding. But he was so determined to marry his bride, he checked himself out and went through with the wedding. Luckily, he made it but he was very ill. We were very worried about him. I don't think I've ever been so worried on a wedding day, not about the details, about what was happening. I was just worried that he was going to be OK. And he did actually end up back in the hospital the next day and was in the hospital for three weeks. I just felt so awful for him. It was not a wedding that I enjoyed working on. I was so delighted that he managed to get married but I was worried about him.
