You shouldn't die from liposuction. I spend an inordinate amount of time talking to young healthy patients about the risks of liposuction. There have been a lot of high profile cases involved in liposuctions with not great outcomes. Many times these were patients that were having liposuction done by non plastic surgeons, done in an office, and they got into complications and didn't realize it. For patients who have liposuction done in either a surgery center, a hospital or an accredited office, done by a plastic surgeon, the risks are rather minimal.
