There are absolutely dangers to doing a colonic. You can become dehydrated, you could cause a perforation in the colon which is essentially making a wound in the colon, and that can cause all kinds of problems. It could even result in death, depending on how serious it gets. With the coffee enemas, they are necessary, they are probably not as dangerous as a colonic. The colonic has a lot of potential to harm you, to be dangerous if it's not done properly. And furthermore, we don't need colonics. Our colon does a very good job of cleaning itself out if we consume a high fibre diet. So, essentially, by consuming a high fibre diet you are cleaning out your colon. Another issue with colonics is because it empties out the colon, it is taking out the natural flora and fauna of your colon and that includes good bacteria that we need for healthy digestion and for health. So, by taking all of that out, you're actually removing something that is beneficial for you.
