Larina Kase (President, Performance And Success Coaching) gives expert video advice on: Are there medications that treat fears and phobias?; What types of medications can help someone suffering from phobias?; What are the side effects of medications for phobias? and more...
Well I'm not an MD, however I have seen some of my clients who have anxiety disorders and take a certain class of medications which are called benzodiazepines, that they take these medications whenever they feel nervous and they can start using them as a crutch, which means that they feel that they need the medication in that moment to feel better and that can actually backfire because it prevents them from learning that they can handle their phobias even without the medication in that moment.
