Spots on the penis can be from an awful lot of causes. Obviously, the one that people most often will think of are genital infections, and therefore, spots on the penis have to be considered as sexually transmitted disease first and foremost, and eventually will have to be investigated or treated for whatever disease it may be. However, penis is normal skin and, therefore, any skin disorder can affect the skin on the penis. A patient should care to consider whether he is at risk of a sexually transmitted disease; this is the first thing that one would want to look at. Otherwise, penis spots need to be considered as part and parcel of any other skin disorder.
