Sealed bids are like a mini auction, these will only take place if you have more than two or three buyers intrested in your house and they are all keen and they have all made offers that are around a similar price. Maybe they are all in a similar position to proceed. If you make a sealed bid, what you ask for is you ask for everyone to put their best offer, the highest price that they are prepared to go in an envelope an post it to you by a certain date and then on that date you open all of the offers and then you probably will choose the highest offer if that person whose offer is in a good postion to proceed with the purchase.
