Buying organic skin creams and lotions will decrease your skin's contact with all of those chemicals. It's especially good if you have children whose skin might be more sensitive. Another thing to think about is a lot of skin care products use mineral oil, and that is a petroleum based product, which is a non-renewable resource. Using something that has different oils that are more renewable is a good thing for the Earth.
