How can I avoid eczema?
Often you can't avoid Eczema, but you can minimize it. Things than can trigger inherited Eczema include stress and you can again try and reduce that threshold. Over-washing with soaps and detergents can make any Eczema worse. So, you use moisturizing lotion and washes instead of soaps and detergents. If you find yourself itching at night with your Eczema itching makes Eczema worse which makes itching worse and you get into this again this vicious cycle so you can get some good anti-histamine, anti-itching pills that you can take at night. Some of these prescriptions and some of them are non prescriptions. So you can ask your pharmacist and then if you don't get help from those go to your dermatologist. Things that you come in contact with that you find out you are allergic to that gives you that type of Eczema are things are very common one are the hair dyes. So, hair dyes in men and women if you have had your hair dyed, and you finish up by getting Eczema on your face, or neck, just wonder about whether you've got an allergic reaction to that hair dye. So sometimes what you do when you see a dermatologist is we do what are called “allergy test”. And we do a wide range of allergy test to try and find what you are allergic to. And then, I will give them that information about that so that they can avoid it. And so that are some of the main ways of trying to minimize Eczema
