How do I make a Margarita?
To make a Margarita, you'll need tequila, triple sec or Cointreau and lime juice or sour mix. The glass you use will depend on whether your guest wants their cocktail "up" or on the rocks; Martini glass for the former and highball for the latter. You'll also need your shaker, your strainer and some ice. Take your shaker and fill it with ice, about two ounces of tequila in there, one and one quarter ounces of Cointreau or triple sec, one ounce of lime juice and about one ounce of sour mix. That is a Margarita. Now, if your guest wants their Margarita with salt, you have to salt the rim of your glass, whether it's the up glass or the highball glass. Take the glass, dip it in lime juice, and then dip it into the salt. Grab the shaker with the Margarita in, put your strainer on top of it if you're doing an up drink and pour the Margarita.
