Many colleges and universities offer the opportunity to study abroad. Study abroad means leaving the United States to take courses in another country. Many colleges and universities will have a certain set of colleges in other countries that they have a prior arrangement with, and they will accept the courses that the student takes in the other country for courses in the college that the student is actually attending - the home campus. Study abroad is a wonderful opportunity to be able to learn about new cultures as well as to study in a foreign country.
