If you're a trendy person you want to look for a trendy dress. If you are the person that everybody in high school or college looks to for trends, well then you want to be you. I think that is the biggest thing that you want to do for your prom night. Be you. So if you are the type of girl who is going to always wears black or brown or beige, then now is not necessarily the time to go princess 'poofie' pink, because that is not who you are. You are a minimalist and you should just stick with your style, and just translate it, to be a bit more glamorous for the prom night.
