How do I get references?
References are effectively a letter. For example, you would go to your bank and you would ask them for a reference. They would write to say that you have enough money in your bank account to pay the deposit on the rented property and that you're somebody that pays the bills on time. You may get charged for a reference though from your bank so be aware of that. You could also get a letter from your employer to say that you've been employed with them for three months, that you're a person of good character, and that they are going to continue the employment and therefore you can afford the rent on the property. You may also get a letter from a guardian or a parent to say that you're somebody of good character that's going to look after the rented property and abide by the rules within the tenancy agreement.
