Choosing an alternate airport can often save you money. When you're booking online, right next to where it says departure make sure you click that button that says alternate airports. As an example, if you're travelling out of LAX, you want to find out what the fare is going to be flying out of Burbank, Ontario and Long Beach. Sometimes you can get a better deal by using an alternate airport.
