What is the treatment for genital warts?
The treatment options for genital warts vary as they can be physical treatments, such as treatment with liquid nitrogen (or other thermal treatments), or they can be chemical treatments, which will cause a chemical burn to the wart. The importance with genital warts is that they get treated and that they get eliminated. Some people will find the physical treatments less painful. Some people will find the creams and ointments, which are the chemical treatments, more appropriate and more suitable to themselves. They all carry a failure rate. However, if one type of genital warts treatment fails, one will have to go onto the next. As I said, the importance is that the warts all get treated, because genital warts are viral infections and are therefore considered to be sexually transmitted diseases and can be passed on to somebody else.
