When shopping online, you should be most aware of what people are selling, and if it's a secure site. You're giving them your money, so you want to make sure that the shipping is affordable and that the clothing is of good quality or the items are of good quality. The return policy is important, and maybe even strike up a personal relationship with the person you're buying from so that when you fork over your credit card number or your cash, that you're not getting gypped.
