How do I know if I'm out of shape?
Sometimes people don't know that they're out of shape because they've never been in shape, and because of that they have no contrast. It's like trying to compare two things but you're only looking at one half. So, how do you know what the comparative value is? All too often, and I've seen this so many times, people think they actually have good health and fitness but it's actually terrible to moderate; it's just that they're at the best they've ever been so they think they're in great shape. However, in actuality they're in the lower end of the spectrum. This is OK as long as they realise that there's another level, and they get there, and there's another level, and they get there, and there's another level, and they get there, and once again, they can just keep going up. So many people think that they're in good health, or sometimes people are overweight and they're in denial of the fact that they're not in good health simply because they are without disease processes. However, that doesn't mean that the fundamental foundation of what causes a disease process isn't already taking place. So, it's important for people to realize that regardless of where they're at, there's another level, and if they have not been consistent in any way on a health, fitness, wellness, or nutrition program, I promise you; you are not in good health.
