What is the typical life cycle for hair?
Robert Steinken (Celebrity Hairstylist) gives expert video advice on: What is hair?; How does hair grow?; What is the hair cuticle? and more...
The typical life cycle for hair would be approximately two to seven years. This all depends on your health; your nutrition; how you take care of your hair. How you blow dry it actually is very normal to lose a hundred hairs a day. It sounds like a lot, but it's a very normal process. When the hair falls out, you will have it automatically grow out again. That's why you'll see on a lot of people they will have small little hairs around the hair line. And I always tell them, "That's a great thing! That's a good thing!" It means your hair is growing. It's growing back again. And it's growing back healthy.
