What is 'Polyvinyl Chlorinated Biphenyl' (PCB)?

John Shegerian (CEO, Electronic Waste Recyclers) gives expert video advice on: What are 'Volatile Organic Compounds' (VOCs)?; What are 'Brominated Flame Retardants' (BFRs)?; What is 'Polyvinyl Chlorinated Biphenyl' (PCB)? and more...

Polyvinyl Chlorinated Biphenyl (PCB's) are also hazard materials as deemed by the EPA in many studies, that have come in from around the world. PCB's have been known to cause cancer and adverse effect in animal studies. And we don't want PCB's that are in electronics for other reasons; to keep the electronics in good shape, non-flammable, and to get into the environment by not being recycled appropriately. So if we recycle electronics appropriately, we will keep PCB's out of the landfills and out of our environmental flow which will then get back into the animals or humans across the world.
