Is there an alliance between the CIA and FBI?

There is an alliance between the CIA and the FBI. Typically and traditionally there was a lot of competition and rivalry between the CIA and the FBI and they tend to have very different cultures and attract and hire different kinds of people. But in the aftermath of September 11th, it was discovered that the events of September 11 potentially could have been averted had there been more cooperation between the CIA and the FBI. And as a result of that, I think there is a much greater degree of cooperation between the two organizations now.
